The Idea of Growing Strong and Becoming Successful

A quiet place is nowadays an expression of a home. Furniture in a living room, a car garage, a TV screen, video games, a smartphone, a laptop computer, junk food in a refrigerator, rush hours, and heavy traffic on the road.

Success is the ability to reach goals in life. It's all about being fulfilled, happy, safe, healthy, and loved.

As we live trying to be successful it gets even tougher than we

A way to normality

expected. Simplified life draws us near to unpredictability and vulnerability to health, social and environmental challenges.

"Don't go through life, grow through life." Eric Butterworth

I remember one evening when I was a little boy, I and my siblings as well as my cousins, sat by the fireplace in our household with my father and Grandfather listening to stories narrated by our Grandma.

In the morning Grandma could cook breakfast for us, and we would eat a breakfast of milk, and Ugali with vegetables before heading for herding. And I can't forget the food aroma would be felt about two hundred meters away.

Fast forward a couple of years later. We are busy wrestling with everything that life throws at us. Waking up early, and coming home late is a common thing today. Caffeine against stressful hours at work as well as sleeping pills to overcome an insomniac drive in late-night hours.

"What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make". Jane Goodall

Children eating alone while  TV is on, on the other hand, parents chatting on social media is a familiar situation in many homes. Life has changed rapidly due to the introduction of new ways of life in this ever-changing world.

Fast food and fatty salty snacks with sugary drinks are common things among adults and children. Healthy foods and culinary skills practiced by our ancestors are no longer in use, abandoned, and forgotten. The contemporary construction of nature replacing native science is a challenge to the future of ancestral cultural heritage.

Children's upbringing nowadays is institutionalized. Children grow up in foster care and daycare centers as well as boarding schools. Research shows that vulnerable populations such as orphans often are exposed to stigma, poverty, physical and sexual violence as well as a lack of educational resources. Also cooking meals in schools is a rare thing nowadays, children are given money to buy some snacks and groceries when at school.

The movement of the youthful generation from rural areas to urban areas is a common thing nowadays. The elderly people stay in villages producing food in farmyards feeding the fastly growing urban population, while the young generation's rates of actively participating in farming are rapidly declining.

In towns and cities, Adults and Parents have less time than normal to spend with their families. Mothers work, and Grannies cook and grow food in gardens. Fathers on TV programs, movies, and video games have less time to share with their families. A man-made global change in life is driven by factors such as demographic, social, cultural, political, and legal aspects.

A rise in health problems related to unhealthy lifestyles is prevalent in children and adults. Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and obesity pose a threat to the prosperity of communities and families around the globe.

Large families are now a past story. Instead of running around and playing nowadays most of the children, especially in urban areas spend most of their time on video games and movies. Without a family and a community, children grow up in solitude becoming depressed.

Generally, growing our families and raising children in a way that's worth living a human life, love, and a warm family and community bond is a true successful development and strength. Furthermore,  taking a vacation and having enough time to spend with family and friends is crucial when it comes to the well-being of every individual in a family and a family as a whole.

"Someone now sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago."Warren Buffett

Resetting the family economy looking back to how our ancestors used to live and reshaping our new ways to create new normality is important for our prosperous future.
